I know the complete recording of Haydn symphonies of Mr. Fischer and find them very successful on the whole. So I was happy here on a fresh interpretation of Mozart's symphonies. However, the antics and outbursts that leaves Mr. Fischer play here - probably even bring "something new" to and to stand out from before seen - not tolerable for me as a Mozart fan! By contrast, so the early Harnoncourt appears himself as a "lamb", and this had already so many peculiarities in hineindirigiert Mozart. I like to repeat, if I mean that you can not push Mozart or should provided with "showpiece". The brash and rhythmic baton certainly has its appeal, it is loud and different and fast anyway. In my opinion, Mozart's breathing becomes disfigured! Where are the flowing lines, the intimate depths? In particular Mozart should unpretentious and seriously interpret just read the notes of the master and play with symmetry and room for development. Mozart was not a rocker, but in addition to the most important composer JS Bach, whom the world was able to experience. He describes in his works a universal human condition with all its nuances on most ingenious manner. But this "fun-have-want" and "I'm going really sleep the plate and cut the town red that a wegsprengt the eardrum" is the really does not do justice.
Update: For untroubled Mozart pleasure I recommend the complete recording of Mozart's symphonies under Böhm and Hogwood!
