A must for every photo backpack. I am very spoiled by my L lenses eg 100mm 2.8 L IS USM, 70-200mm 2.8 L IS USM II. The 50mm can keep up from Aperture 2.8, really deep focus, it is then from 5.6 to Aperture 11th Aperture 1.4 makes no sense, the center is not large. Optics 5 star, AF USM 5 star, 5 star service. The lens hood should not order the right, you need anyway. To avoid damage focus, you can simply leave the lens hood always on it. I have also tested the plastic cups 50mm 1.8. So I had no joy (optics 0 star, AF 0 stars, power 3 stars). Dear save money and buy the same 1.4 that is much more fun.
