Hunger Games - Volume 1 (Paperback)

Customer Review

Of course the pitch of this deadly game, reminds Battle Royal ... but this book also presents a futuristic society knows very well defined and create an entire universe.
Suzanne Collins describes in this novel an authoritarian society, which bases its rule from a horrible game. A game whose staging is as important as the game itself ... Rules Nominee, preparation and staging of the 24 gladiators, before having to kill each other, will first have to attract sponsors who will give them little more during the game that can make the difference ... all television and propaganda machinery is perfectly detailed ..
The reasons of this game, the scenes, springs and political marketing, futuristic societal context, everything is perfectly under control ... This is the first asset of this book.
The second, it is the character. The main heroine, Katniss is very endearing but of course Suzanne Collins manages to interest us to many others (the stylist, the counselor), including some other candidates as Peeta lover or Rue fragile youngest of the game. ..

Taking a book from the first page to the last, even if it comes in youth collection, he will, no doubt, appeal to a much wider audience ...
