This is my 3rd case (and my second Kindle ...). The magnetic closure system is a magnetic strip (under the "leather") should be more resilient than simple magnetic button of the previous case. One downside, the purple color is much darker than the picture. Not gay at all! One reason for my choice of this case is the presence of an inner flap in which I slip post-its with reference books for future download.
