Catastrophic scrap

The cooker hood Bauknecht DF 5263 has a rickety metal housing, in a big black plastic part with the engine. The engine is very loud even at the lowest level. The metal grease filter is very thin and is clamped primitive. In the hood is a searchable only after looking small lever, to be switched between the exhaust and recirculated air operation. In order to enable the extraction mode, you have to break out a pre-punched portion of the housing - Exchange no longer possible. Our surprise was great that the switch lever shows no appreciable effect. In both positions, the exhaust comes out the front of the hood and from the passage aperture for the exhaust hose and from all other crevices of the casing - a very bad joke.

I had bought the cover for the first, very good review and feel deceived by this. Treffende reviews can be found for the model Bauknecht DF 5263 SG, which differs only in color.

That was the first device of Bauknecht in my household. It will remain the only one. Dearly.
