Accuracy:
Repeat measurements are problematic. As described in other reviews, the temperature drops at several measurements in succession to ~ 0.4 degrees, until a stable value. After consultation with the Braun Service this stable temperature is not correct, but the first measured, higher value.
Reason: Due to the heating in the probe tip it is getting warmer, so the thermometer takes an excessively high reference temperature at follow-up measurements and the ear temperature incorrectly assumes as too cold.
Remedy: Lt. Brown has between two measurements 3-5 min. serviceable, so that the tip cools down. This is not in the manual, so two star deduction.
Apparently the problem is with the 3 series is less pronounced, since there the tip is not heated. Only the measuring current leads but there too a self-heating, so that one should wait there. I inquired as to be made for example in the hospital, if need be frequently measured. There Braun Service equipment of a professional line lt. Used, have shorter waiting times between measurements, but also cost more than 3.5 times as much.
Conclusion:
Totzdem all in all a comfortable thermometer, but with the drawback that you have to wait at least three minutes between two measurements. This limitation is one but in the product description and operating instructions, if only to prevent incorrect measurements.
