Certainly not the best of Lupin!

The funny novel hollow needle signed by Maurice Leblanc. Fourth volume of the adventures of Arsene Lupin he proves, like many volumes of the adventures of the gentleman thief rather surprising and at odds with what one imagines the adventures of the great Arsene. It is that in Leblanc, our crook and thief has a certain nobility of caeur, a typical French panache but also the bad habit of falling in love, a propensity to multiply the errors, accidents and to roll in flour, or even end up in agony in the corner. The hollow needle is no exception to the rule: more difficult to speak in front of this novel without revealing few components. Loving readers the most complete surprise therefore divert their eyes from this column. For others, however they can rest assured: I would be the blurrier possible.

Now then, the real hero of this book, it must be emphasized, is not Lupin: this is not unique to this volume, as in the Coffin Island we will find the same situation. But there, big difference, since Isidore, main character of the book, is not only the enemy of Arsene, but also a single high school student who nevertheless thwarts the great detective burglar! Incredible but true! And even more, it must be said, it has proven largely more sympathetic and interesting as Lupin. Facing him, Lupin proves vain, proud, unbearably conceited, contemptuous, shabby, resorting to shameful ploys his honor. In the end, the hollow needle problem: its plot is certainly remarkable and exciting, beatings theaters multiply to the delight of the reader literally devours the pages, but something does not fit into the character of Lupin and disappoint.
