Cheap clamp, an alternative for hobbyists

Although I have read the various opinions of other buyers, I ordered the clamp. First impression: cheap part. In order to avoid scratches on the lens I have replaced the original flow strips. The fell off soon anyway and were too short. At the joint of the clamp and the mounting bolt scratches could arise because metal sitting on metal.

The diameter of the clamp is also too low, so that the clamp can not quite close. Looks far from beautiful. Have I made a plastic disc, which compensates the gap.

The fastening screw has a coarse thread, which was too short and will soon be uprooted. The main body of the clamp is made of aluminum. Have replaced by a reasonable metal screw the whole screw. Now sees no more;)

To paint: Hue Although fits about, but the paint is applied very thin and poor. So clamp repainted.
