I bought this universal glasses to complement my existing Sony glasses. Therefore, I can well compare both glasses.

The following benefits have the universal spectacles:
a. Light
b. Comes without battery (via USB chargeable)
c. Works even if the head is not exactly straight stands
d. Reasonable price

The following disadvantages could be well identified:
A No quality workmanship. (eg: Glasses can be moved)
b. To synchronize with the TV he adjusted from and re-image
c. Do not sit so tightly on the head like the Sony glasses
d. Noticeable flicker in direct sunlight (not the TV picture, but at the window)

So overall you can say that you can move your head free towards the Sony glasses and it is easier. The Sony glasses are but worked better, fit better on the head and do not emit appreciable flicker. But you can enjoy with two glasses a 3D movie. Because of the disadvantages I give only three points.
