Style:
Design is of course always subjective, but I would like to describe my impression. The design is very discreet and at the same time classy. In particular, its white color raises him wohltuhend from the crowd of mostly black-colored TV. The TV consists entirely of white plastic, which looks anything but cheap. The feet are directed to the sides, got a white piano lacquer finish and hold in spite of a few screws (4 pieces) the TV in place. Also on the thickness of the TV for the price range in order. Small but shortcomings still there: The small black border on the screen would have liked to be more narrow or even disappear. Nevertheless, the edges are pleasantly narrow. However, if emphasis on his TV on higher value materials found in Samsung UE40HU6900, together with its aluminum frame and aluminum stand a better choice of materials.
Equipment: The equipment is on average: (!) In addition to three HDMI 2.0 ports (60 Hz capable), the sound outputs, three USB ports, DVB-T C, S, S2 (with which UHD Emfpang via satellite find possible in future is). Given the competition from Hisense, the 800V raises positively with its HDMI 2.0 connections, and is in accordance with the future.
Remote Control: Two remote controls can be found in the delivery: the normal LG remote control (in White), as well as the Magic Remote. One thing first: both are not optimal. Normal LG remote control provides the regular key layout, and a special button for the Smart TV. Unfortunately, the pressure points are sometimes vague and vary from key to key. The Magic remote works similarly, however, such as the remote and the Nintendo Wii offers voice control (the rather poor functioning), the "most important" keys such as volume up / down and a scroll wheel for browsing the Internet. Unfortunately, the calibration is (at least on my machine) is not optimal, which is why I prefer to use the regular remote control, both for the regular television, as well as the Smart TV.
Smart TV: There is both light and shadow. Apps such as Amazon Instant Video, max cathedrals, image, or kicker function properly, though not as fast as my Xbox One (which is due to the dual-core processor), for the series by watching Smart TV but perfectly adequate. Unfortunately, the media libraries of the public have not strayed into the Smart TV of LG. Whether the Apps be submitted later in the store later, is rather questionable. Finally, LG is already working on the Web OS 2.0, the successor to the installed on the 800V Smart TVs. The File Manager to open the USB stick works just fine, is in the file formats LG have already placed wider than for example the Japanese competition from Sony.
Image Quality: This probably most decisive criterion here and surprise the LG, especially given its price of around 400. Both full HD, as well as UHD material is rendered very natural and clear knackscharf and (after appropriate color setting). The contrasts are very good. Especially with UHD material shines the 800V. Breaking Bad in Full HD or Alpha House and videos of my Lumia 930 in UHD looked extremely well. The difference was at close range (scarce 3 meters) compared to full HD material clearly. For SD material is the image in order. HD TV, I can not test, but I would have to shell out an extra month in the hall of residence. But given the positive experience with HD and UHD material of another kind, is likely to change in the excellent overall impression nothing. Small drawback: The 800V does not have IPS display, suffers a small but verschmerzbaren Clouding and the Black would like may be somewhat richer (but I have perhaps again looking in the settings;)).
Sound: The sound is as unfortunately with TV mostly familiar, relatively thin and bassarm. A soundbar for upgrading would highly recommended (or good PC speakers). While it is a little extract in the sound settings from the white jewel, but the sound is still thin.
Probably the most important category (based on the comments and reviews that I've read: GAMING
With my Xbox One playing works great. The input lag is very minimal and falls not on while gambling. For this, however, potential buyers have to make a small Investiton: One for your PS4 or a HDMI 2.0 cable required. The included cables of PS4 and One creates only 30 frames per second and the input lag is thereby higher than for regular full HD television. A slight judder is clearly noticeable in both films, and while gambling. While supporting the next-gen consoles "only" 1080P, but the expected 800V via Upscaling up the material to native 4K, which is why a 2.0 cable is necessary. Good cables are available starting at 7 online to buy (not afraid 2.0 is backwards compatible with 1.4)). Even turning off "Bildverbesserern" or Game Mode is loud other reviews will help to minimize the lag that I have personally not tried.
Conclusion: The LGUB800V is probably the TV bargains on Amazon. Although he has minor flaws, such as the slight clouding, the parlous state of clay or the slightly older Smart TV, but considering the price these shortcomings are more than bearable. Anyone looking for a cheap 40 inch with excellent image, sustainable connectivity and beautiful design, will find something nice here. Highly recommended for gamers.
Edit: I have now tried the game mode of LG. He lowers again the input lag and therefore extremely useful for gamers
