The stand is built very solid, sufficiently large and despite the aluminum construction also pleasantly light. I have, among other things with the Canon EOS 5D Mk II and the zoom lens EF 70-200 mm 1: 2.8L USM ISII, partly also used when using the Canon EF 2x III teleconverter.
The tripod offers stability and flexible adjustment options, which allow an application for a lot of tasks to the macro photography. Here me no debilitating limitation noticed.
One limitation, however I do not want to leave unmentioned. For many applications, the exact leveling of the camera is necessary. The stand itself has - as is customary with other tripods - level below the tripod head to the tripod leveled orientation. This can however only be achieved by adjusting the tripod legs, what if it is to go fast, is inappropriate.
It would therefore be desirable also to have a spirit level directly on the tripod head, which can be read with mounted camera. While it was attached a spirit level on the tripod head with pistol grip, this unfortunately placed under the quick release, so that the camera needs to be removed, rather the display can be read. For flexible use of the tripod head it would therefore be very useful to attach an external level the tripod head, which would be used for both camera orientations, ie for landscape and portrait shots. The lack of this Tripod / Tripod head combination.
But if one makes the quite reasonable price of this tripod along with his tripod head in accounting, you can recommend this tripod for the amateur and semi-professional use. The acquisition of a spirit level, which is attached directly to the camera, should any still can easily accommodate in the budget.
