This concert has of course my auditory access also changed to the new disc of brothers something. My first, subjective impression that Chemical Brothers at very high levels (ATTENTION!) "Somewhat" stagnant, I can not entirely refute anyway. Too strong are my favorites at the previous albums, which were very "fresh" in their time.
Unsurpassed the gateway drug "Exit Planet Dust". Dig your own .. with some big straight sounds (it doesnt matter) and the diverse surrender.
Variety and freshness, perhaps fehlts it a little. With lots of thud (burst generator), and sometimes almost too simple-minded samples (do it again) goes to the bigbeat thing. playful details, or clear catchy, stripped-down rhythms are rare. The bass drum is safe with fast tracks in number. Extravagant tunes, such as "My Elastic Eye" or "Got glint" I think not yet on the new. They would do the album but good.
The mirror can be a modern midnight conversation sit up, but does not require the immediate pressing the Repeat button. The peculiar salmon dance reminds me of the 1990s, and speaks to me still currently dislike most. Battle Scars is the (retro) song for my next mix CD. Harpoons are dreamily and ballad. Do it again, all rights reserved & Co are for the uncompromising dancefloor at home, in the car or wherever ;-)
Conclusion: There are no bad sounds on We Are The Night.
The internal comparison to the other CB albums watn gets an average, good 3 stars.

The Chemical are masters of their trade.
