Customer Review

Pay a visit in advance: the album is a "Grower", but mercilessly carved up after repeated listening the proggeeichte Hörzentrum. Not that the album something really brand new features, it's more neo-progressive rock with the known ingredients like Hammond sound, polyphonic vocals, bombastic elements' 70s-Genesis or the revisiting of musical themes (preferably in reverse order ;-) ), but has its own seasoning. So sounds "Telephone", the well-poppigste song on the album, actually slightly 80s-style (with distinctive bassline of Beggs), a loosening after the strong opener "Lighthouse". With "Fridge Full of Stars" is followed by a title whose spheres sounded like the beginning like a virus in memory to fix and give a while listening with appropriate mood almost unearthly happiness. After a great but somewhat nachdenlich voting "At the End of the World" comes mMn the highlight: "Carousel": After a short intro, an acoustic fountain or waterfall starts from guitar, bass and drums, which will be replaced by a church organ like Hammondsound, the when using a goosebumps chasing down your spine.
For me, one of the revelations of recent years. If you ever want to be accused of what the album, that it might total something to "round" effect, it lacks a bit the corners and edges where you can rub. But that's not really a flaw, but a question of expectations. About guest musicians I let myself here not out of, not even about music theory details, because there are more competent reviewers.
In summary, one could compare the album with a bottle of excellent, mature red wine.
