Update 1: Have the recorder to the HDMI 1 turn. After turning on the TV's probably gets the recorder a pulse from the TV so that the once switches briefly to HDMI 1. The delayed access to the TV of course annoying. Also, the recorder makes so zwischendurchmal just so a "sigh", to which the TV then again switches to the same HDMI 1, the TV picture disappears and remains black and does not turn back. annoying ...: o |
Update 2: The Guide is also not as flexible as the previous model or the current TV. He can no longer be eg change to the view for only one transmitter. This makes the programming of broadcasts for example in 12 hours much more complicated. Also missing, which is a fundamental nature for digital stations, the well-known from analog TV VPS signal. From because: The digitization of TV's all makes better. This alone and CI + is kind of a negative development ...
Conclusion: There really is no real alternative to this device for Kabelunden, I take out the negative characteristics. Perhaps a software update will also again provide a remedy for one or the other or even all ...: o)
Update 3: Thanks to a reference is now the menu completely translated into German, after once and then had to be adjusted again in German and in English.
Update 4 (11.10.2012):
After a few days of operation has further found:
From the EPG, it is now back to the previous menu item.
Only truly weak point is still that he the TV picture on HDMI switches at the beginning of a scheduled recording. Perhaps the sets but also each time I've used the recording - hope dies last known.
As negative probably remain for ever, that the hard disk noise over my nearly 10-year-old former model has increased significantly.
Update 5 (26.10.2012):
With me changing the power saving mode and disabling Viera-Link has not helped that the recorder is no longer switches with an independent view on the HDMI TV - that problem is therefore still there. But thanks for the tip. We can only hope that this will be parked with an update. Also, the recorder listens for booting the HDD like a PC at startup. These two negative things and not switchable EPG (in a transmitter alone view) left over from the reprehensible qualities.
Update 6 (28/10/12):
Have turned to the Service via www and obtained within 6 h response. Have the recorder now on HDMI 4 off (in my TV menu just below the TV - switches on when needed so faster). And what can I say - the recorder is no longer on the TV screen when a scheduled recording automatically to HDMI to. Nevertheless, he turns on the TV screen when it is put into manual mode. So it should be! ... :)
Switching the EPG in the view only from a transmitter is not definitely.
And when recording from the AV2 (as depends on me, the d-box on it) should be able to simultaneously watch a DVD - a BD or USB or SD is not. For me it works even not with a DVD.
My point deduction I therefore see still to be justified. This effusive reviews of TV / video / hi-fi magazines I can not understand so far. Looks as evaluate only the theory and practical relevance.
Did the way once a first attempt with a rewritable BD made. Have added to a 1:55 long film in HDTV on HDD. He was in 25 min. transferred to the BD-RE. The quality is obviously the same as on the HDD and of much higher quality than when the DVD is extrapolated to 1080i. Since Panasonic has done his homework, what I actually know.
Update 7 (28/10/12):
Tests today have shown that the recorder can play DVD's nevertheless when he is recording also of AV2. He then plays even with the recorder-burned BD-RE (rewritable Blu-ray disc's) from, so how the service also is says.
Speaking 'with the recorder-burned BD-Re': I have last night of the ARD James Bond's Diamonds Are Forever in HDTV recorded on HDD (!). This movie I then burned onto BD-RE. He spent his 1:55 about half of the 25 GB BD-Re. And I was able to compare the original on DVD ... Conclusion: The quality of the self-burned DVD-RW recorder with HDTV material from the HDD is head and shoulders above the original DVD, as evidenced by the still images clearly.
Conclusion: will be criticized (1) the boat sounds of HDD when the device starts (during operation then good quiet), (2) the limited in terms of display modes EPG, (3) the limited playing media with simultaneous AV2 recordings , (4) that to get to the desired operation after some trial and error (because of anything better anyway and easy - they would just shut up is not always so crowded take). Therefore, it remains at 4 points, however there is no comparable product.
Update 8 (27.12.2012):
Unless you have turned on neither TV nor recorder and want access to the recorder, do not turn on the TV first! Because then the recorder makes a check-up and you can not turn on about 1 to 1.5 minutes. access it. In such cases, therefore first always the recorder (eg table of contents to play or Guide for programming) switch - then it's fixed. If one imagines a plan quickly.
Update 9 (02.05.2013):
Cable Ddeutschland has since abolished the basic encryption for private TV stations. To so this (Sat1, RTL, Pro7, Viva, Euro Sport, Sport1, etc., etc..) To look into SD quality desired, take arbitrarily to cut any or burn any DVD or BD, one needs no map for decryption more. This also applies to the three free HD channels Das Erste, ZDF and arte.
Update 10 (10/19/2013):
The more practice has the following shown: The estimated during high-speed copying times undershot by far - so do not be put off ... Assuming a BD together, for example of 12 hours of video in DVD quality, and burn them, see the menu on other BD players from completely different and really really bad. The effort that you make in the recorder is not rewarded on other players. They should be collected, for example, the BD a name that appears on other players at all. On other players the created directory is only displayed. Not so great ...
