Class collection of MGS universe!

"Metal Gear Solid" is a name in the video game universe, which should be well known at least to any owner of a Sony console. After the release date of "Metal Gear Solid 5 The Phantom Pain" is now within reach, is the "Legacy Collection" course for all PS3 owners that the history (n) (still) want to experience again, interesting and offers the opportunity to experience epic story about the soldier "Solid Snake" in its entirety. The collection comes in a beautiful, quite stable slipcase, on its front "Snake" can be seen in different age phases and is listed on the back of the entire content. The presentation is simple, but by acts MMN quality and more beautiful than those fed gelatinized with 500 Bildchen and squashed cardboard boxes. The only drawback: The USK seal is firmly imprinted and can not be removed!

In slipcase once is a PS3 shell and once the hardcover artbook. This has 97 pages and has shows vast amounts of advertising images, artwork, concept art and motifs to each MGS-part plus a (very) brief description of the contents and the date of publication. Looks chic, feels high-quality and more beautiful as much more diverse and extensive than I had imagined based on the other reviews. As I have already experienced significant "cheaper" artbook.

In the PS3 shell there are two discs, the first includes "MGS 4: Guns of the Patriots", the other contains the remaining games, as well as the digital comics to MGS 1 and 2. In addition, there is a download coupon for order "Metal "download (PS1) Gear Solid" (PS1) and "Metal Gear Solid Special Missions (" MGS "~ 750 MB," MGS: SM "~ 600MB). Of course, a pity that they still need to be downloaded and were packed not directly to disc, I can therefore accept but nevertheless, better than they would have omitted it.

Compared to many other games series are the "Metal Gear Solid" offshoot absolute masterpieces with an incredibly compelling backstory, brilianten and unusual boss battles and great characters. Basically, I want to say only this: I have rarely experienced a series of games that are constantly so good quality offered, great gameplay, fantastic stories, as well as the respective publication date always fantastic graphics and soundtrack ("MGS4" may look like today, 5 years after it has appeared, still fantastic!). The controller is now in some older parts comparatively uncomfortable and bulky, yet it is very usable after a short familiarization period. Indeed, contrary to the common "(ego) Shooter" -isierung the gaming world is at "MGS" (mostly) sneaking in the foreground: Dear one prevents it to be ever discovered, as to be riddled with lead.

Matter of taste at "MGS" have always been the cutscenes, which is that in every part really hours (quality!) Cut-scenes, sequences, etc. are waiting for the player. Of everyone can keep what he wants, I love the cutscenes and without these fantastic "flair" "MGS" would not be such a terrific game that film and video game can often merge. It says very often: Sit back and enjoy.

The "Metal Gear Solid" series is an absolute masterpiece, which is not only complex, comes up with lots of twists and a great story, but it also creates a perfect player to captivate and create a terrific atmosphere.

The people, for the "Metal Gear Solid" was previously unheard of, I can see the "Legacy Collection" recommend without hesitation, as it facilitates countless hours of gameplay around our hero "Solid Snake" and the possibility for a relatively low price the whole story experience. Thus it is for part 5 also perfectly equipped.

But what if you already own "MGS" parts? The contents of the "Legacy Collection" is practically the "Metal Gear Solid HD Collection" (~ 30) + "Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots" (~ 20) + "Metal Gear Solid" (PSN download, ~ 10) + slipcase and Artbook (hardcover, 99 pages). Whether it is worth buying a new one, everyone must decide for themselves, for those who it is, however, hardly a part call their own a worthwhile purchase.
