Disappointments which should not be

So what we have got? We have a graphically very delicious, masterfully flavored game get what the MGS universe plays and has where our favorite Snake again to fulfill a mission times.

I was very happy on the prologue of the forthcoming Phantom Pain and was bitterly disappointed.

Because here you get a game that served strongly reminiscent of a DLC from the store. I bought for 10 better and especially lengthier games on PSN Store, as what I got here.

No question: MGS is also time to look at beautiful, masterfully staged.

However, first sticking point is the story, honestly I have no idea what this is about. Should we not make you hungry for more of this game? Does not make it with me, because you should not have any additional + MGS1-4 title internalized fanatical, it's hard to follow the plot or understand what ever thing. Is dealt with a situation which, although scratching at other MGS titles, but they do not really picks up. At times I did not feel to play a MGS, but some agents play. Sam Fisher says hello ...

Stand in some tests and previews even "totally free exploration of the terrain" so that is true that the grounds but is only as large as a map of an online game that was skipped skillfully.

Down to business:

MGS has a major mission and a few side missions that take place in the same area, only at different times. I personally do not enjoy this. Because I like to have a progress and wants to get involved in the story. We have here naked baying of missions without why or why. No emotional video clips or funny anecdotes. MGS GZ is therefore boring.

On the control also has some verschlimmbessert. The course contributes to the annoyance at my hand. The pop-up menu weapons was exchanged as to an arrangement on the directional pad in Action titles. Maybe not the best alternative. If Snake discovers one gets a bullet time to the enemy to eliminate in time. I find it really difficult to make out here who discovered me and where, and the arrows to view this help not really.

The so large Holographic camouflage does not exist in Ground Zeroes. It takes a lot of time to detect the pattern of movement of soldiers, yet we know what angle you discovered or not. No question mark above their heads, in 90% of cases it is detected whether one is 5m or 25m away. No epic final boss, no terrain changes, not even a great deal of hiding places that are safe, there are in the game. Even MGS4 offered better warning and was advertised with "No Place to Hide".

Long story short:

Wen MGS Phantom Pain wants to play (and we hope it will be a real MGS) can not avoid the GZ. The graphics are beautiful, atmospheric, there is nothing to complain about even if the MGS charm is gone something. The menus are well Gwöhnungssache. Whether a mission that is then aufgwärmt a few times a 30's worth, everyone must know yourself, for 30 I would at least expect that you get a game that's more MGS typically staged and not like any x -beliebige agent comes shooter. Some trial and error passages, the abundant short game (Just under 90 minutes; Speedrun in under 10 minutes possible) and especially the no longer existing voice of Snake (David Hayter), which was replaced by Kiefer Sutherland (nothing against Kiefer, but it fits halt NOT EVEN!) make the whole into a "Dear think about it again" action. Who liked to play MGS and has as I favors eg MGS1 and especially MGS3, which should be prepared to eventually disappointment.

Ultimately it is a matter of taste, and this review reflects only my opinion.
