The roughly 2.5-inch hard drive large and about 308gr heavy battery pack has two USB ports, one of which is 1 amp, the second 2 ampere can supply power. More on that later. It has a slide switch next to the battery indicator with 4 blue LEDs. The Power Pack is charged conveniently via a microUSB port that goes absolutely without friction with the supplied cable and the tiny power supply. Conveniently, the device has a charging electronics, so that the charging process is interrupted after charging, thus overcharging is prevented. Small drawback: The device displays its charging status through the glistening bright LEDs, which can interfere in the dark bedroom ever. Covering with a small carton or equivalent but creates a quick remedy.
However, a reasonable guide is missing as well as any indication of the capacity - also hereinafter more.
Which, in a solid plastic housing with a grippy, rubber-like surface are next to a small USB adapter and an approximately 30cm short cable (go rather an advantage) several articles for different types of mobile phones and smartphones in. To name Prominent would besides the obligatory MicroUSB nor the broad iPhone / iPad connector for older iPhones / iPads and iPhone 4S or iPad3. However, an adapter for the newer iPhone5 or iPad4 missing as well as an adapter for the broad connection of many Samsung Tablets - but whether the original cable is working, I can not yet confirm the absence of equipment.
Function:
=========
So far I have had the PowerPack 1.5 months in use, and it has taken the constant fear of an empty battery completely. Charging even two devices at once caused no problems, even the process known as selective when charging source Nexus 7 has been loaded without hesitation.
However, a charge the power pack is sufficient for about 5 to 6 times Download my Galaxy S2 (battery capacity approx 1,65Ah), when using the 1A terminal is still a little residual capacity left. The 10Ah nominal capacity at 5V so are thus relatively accurate.
During use, the battery shows Winten unfortunately also throughout its capacity on the very bright blue LEDs on - astonished to derogatory views are almost inevitable when used in the coat pocket ...
Conclusion:
=========
The Winten battery pack for the price is a great investment for the charger-stricken gadget users and can also multi-day losing streaks away from the outlet, for example, when camping or hiking bridged easily. Only criticism, however, the device must for the continuous lighting during load and load insert, about one can ignore, however - or a tape mount. The robust housing is indeed a certain confidence in the suitability for everyday use, but I can make a judgment about it only after prolonged use.
