The device or the plug-in card is small enough so as not to touch the fan on my mobo.
Power Cable & a 20cm SATA cables totaled.

There now finally worked after several changes. Should have time to look right the first time at the pictures.
These are my settings for successful connection of an (E) IDE / PATA hard drive to a SATA connection:
- Switch & Jumper must as in the picture - will be reconnected !! "SATA> IDE"
Why this is called the other way around, as the VLT. the healthy trained PC mind would think now, I do not know.

Is recognized under Ubuntu 4.12, Win7 & WinXP & you can even AHCI mode with an IDE disk use (of course without AHCI functions ;-) if other SATA disks to run in the system - practically !!!

Consequently, in connection would a SATA disk to an IDE connector Figure "IDE -> SATA" function.
