Well since yesterday I have a Batterigriff for my 7D.
It is a "replica" of the company. Phottix.
When I in the evening from work to home was the package opened, and when I held it in my hand, I thought ... "Oh sweet ... is indeed times funny"
After being attached to the camera ... Wow that turns the 7 Series a real monster, purely visual point of view.
And here we read again and again .... Those things (I mean the replicas) are good nothing, nothing is better than the original.
It also has all the buttons and functions that the Canon BG has also.
On the left side is still an additional connection in the form of a mini USB.
What I can connect because I still have to find out which port is listed in the manual, but not for what it is intended.
The pressure point of the trigger (half / full-press) at the BG I find a bit softer than on the camera.
But is now for me no criticism.
It is also often written that if the camera makes a strange BG on the tripod it runs off or distorted when using heavy lenses.
Also I can not confirm. Tried it on my tripod with the Sigma 150mm macro. Forgiven or run away No.
And if you use heavier lenses I guess that is it then eh attached to the tripod mount on the tripod, the camera already bayonet sake.
Haptic seen it is for me definitely an increase, although the 7D's not the "smallest" and I do not have the biggest hands.
But just when you long used heavy optics, everything is a bit more balanced and keeping the whole lot quieter.
That was to buy me a BG also the only reason for me.
