"Down to Earth" is a great Metal album and especially an ingenious Ozzy Osbourne- album. And precisely because it just brings in unadulterated form Ozzy, it must also be praised by some and torn from the others, which is typical Ozzy Osbourne - you have to love it or hate it! A good sign that he eingroßer union has succeeded again :-) The master is not written off, as had already happened in many quarters, especially after questionable .... live performances here in 2002 Ozzy was involved in the song writing all the songs and his voice sounds powerful and as original as ever. Thus, "Down to Earth" a gigantic sign of life from the old master. And it is not there a lot of experiments: the musical "Ozzmosis" is - line continued. "No Easy Way Out", "That I Never Had" or "Black Illusion" are rock hard and heavy guitar in severe form. With "Dreamer" a typical ballad Ozzy- in alltbekannten "Mama I'm Coming Home" is - represented style and with "Running Out Of Time" Ozzy comes sentimental over, a magnificent power ballad with keyboard support! Accents are musically repeatedly set that promise no boredom, for example with "junkie", a typical Ozzy-song with sleazy melodies in the vocals; rousing, as even and odd rhythms alternate repeatedly, super! For exceptional moments is further provided with "You know ... (Part I)", which manages with an acoustic guitar and a minute shallow mystical atmosphere brings. "No Easy Way Out" is one of the strongest songs on the album: Ozzy's voice is at its best over and otherwise ... great to hear how builds up to the chorus of energy and is then down modulated in harmony - and a stroke of genius, the a little of "No More Tears" remembers: a break after the second chorus. Without exception it has inveigled a super album - and then the strongest comes only at the end: "Can You Hear Them?" is the best song on the album !!
