Sound:
------
Here I am a little disappointed. The music is rather monotonous Standardbrei and will be easy even by titles such as Ar Tonelico in the shadows. Orchestral pieces alternate with Keyboard solo entertainers (I say only the music at the harbor) from. Suitable for elevator music. For a JRPG rather average to below average. 5 of the 10th
Control:
----------
The menus are pretty typical Wii tidy, cumbersome, however, I find the inventory (too many subdivisions) and placing the title (skills). Overall, there are some points that could have been more comfortable. Whether this is due to the port of Wii to PS3, I can not judge. The figure ansich can navigate well, however, the control in the fight is ok, if a little hectic. Camera does not turn the way. It must be said that the developers have done a very good job that the dynamic camera stehts has everything important in the picture. Thus, this missing feature is not a disadvantage. Solid 8 of 10 for the controller with deduction in menus
Combat system:
------------
The combat system of Tales of Graces is high for me somewhere betw Star Ocean:. The Last Hope and Ar Tonelica Qoga. The real-time battles are fun, but unlike for example in Star Ocean has often the feeling: What should I rumplagen with special combos, some button-mashing it does. Say: It is often simply tried a little herumzuhämmern on the gamepad because you what exactly you actually pressed since its objective is often also achieved without really knowing. This is something unsatisfactory and only gradually with increasing difficulty little more tactic comes into play and you start to think about what one expresses. I think that's a shame and dissolved in Star Ocean much eleganzer. Especially since you can also complete extensive tutorials attack in a practice arena here. Tales of Graces f is as almost entirely on a few reference texts. Not very beginner-friendly. The display on the experience gained and the items recovered at the end of the fight is so tiny that one wonders why it was not pretty. In Star Ocean or Ar Tonelico I knew after the battle exactly how good I was and what I get for it. A total of 7.5 10 degrees.
Story:
-----
The great strength of Tales of Graces is the story. She's just great. The characters are very little stereotype for JRPG conditions. Asbel is anything but a storybook hero, Sophie no quängelndes girl half-naked into battle. The story has some interesting twists. Of course, there are also a few places that sound a little forced. True to the motto: Los go there time after X in the Dungeon why I'll explain later, or not at all. But that does not detract from the exciting story around the different Covers Hallows. Who was annoyed storywise of Star Ocean, will be able to look forward to here. 10/10
Conclusion:
------
Tales of Graces f is not technically perfect. But the world is coherent, the characters and the story entertaining addictive so you can hardly place the gamepad out of hand. In short: Perfect JRPG entertainment that appeals to the original principles of the genre, without undue experimentation. Buy Absolutely!
