Our family has this pot six months daily used intensively as a coffee can. All were very happy with the handling. The cleaning of the pot with a suitable brush is not a problem. Recently, however, I noticed that it clearly stinks from the pot, what the other family members confirmed immediately. The cover was the cause. We immediately tried hard to clean the lid, The lid is hollow and consists of 2 chambers. If one operates the lever, the underside of the lid is lifted slightly. It opens a 3 mm wide gap through which the liquid passes when tilted in the lower lid chamber and from there through a non-visible opening in the upper lid chamber. In the upper lid chamber is a 13x5 mm hole from which the fluid eventually flows out of the pot. To clean the lid are available only for the lower chamber (respectively while pressing the lever) of the revolving 3 mm wide gap and for the upper chamber, the said outlet opening is available. The cleaning is made more difficult by the mechanism for pressing the cover inside the lid and the strong curvature of the upper lid chamber. Unfortunately, unscrew the cover for cleaning is not possible, would certainly not rectify, because the hot liquid initially builds a significant pressure in the closed pot. Although we have such a fine bottle brush that we so painstakingly could scrub inside the cover, behind No one had more feel good. You can not see what is there and dressing comes determined not so easy in all the corners. From a hygienic point of view this is an absolute pot faulty construction and should be banned anyway. For us it has since been unnoticed in the corner and there are only small amounts of coffee on the table, because this pot has spoiled our appetite. It amazes me that so far none of the reviewers wrote about the cleaning problem of the lid. All other claims of the jug in my view, complain at a high level.
