Your arguments may be understandable for the one or the other, but are nonetheless quite subjective. For example, the story mode is only from your point of view "just plain bad". I, however, consider the mode for very successful, partly due to POSSIBILITY OF, here unlock the characters and not - as usual - by a certain number of battles, do missions or similar ..
The aspect that the new figures should be "unfair", I can not empathize. The two characters that you have listed as an illustration (Wolf & Pit), I see more among the most vulnerable. Especially pit's pretty easy and therefore to quickly reach the platform. Rather, I believe that all the characters were designed fairly balanced (the new): each has its weaknesses and its strengths. I can explain with an example: Ganondorf is the clout her one of the strongest in the game, but his drawback is the extreme slowness. Sonic (one of the new characters) is again in terms of speed of the best, but it lacks this and he clout.
When Internet mode I have you for once not oppose :)
Even when I have to agree Smashball you. A little unfair that random is on, you're right, but it is quite useless now also again not. He gives the more "untalented" players the opportunity to other players to come out of the stage and to score so. The imbalance, of which you have spoken, I can not see. Samus' attack can indeed escape with relatively a lot of ease, but on the one hand they can make a sucking in the radius of the attack, on the other hand it is very devastating, if you will but then taken from her. Furthermore, it is - at least for me - quite easy to evade attack pits (but that has certainly something to do with it what, how long you been playing the game and how well you mastered it).
"Last but not least this moronic invention falling down". So the feeble-minded is not. Okay, I admit, sometimes it sucks already, unless he is on the verge of hitting someone from the platform and falls instead. But I think the idea is good in itself, since it a little more realistic and unpredictable makes the game what most beginners play helps because it lets you not only rely on their own playing skills to.
In conclusion, to say that - in my view - SSBB a clear progress compared to Melee is: The character, Stage selection has increased (in total about 30 characters!) And even more items are now available. Plus, there's a host of new features and modes through which has improved for the most part the game compared to its predecessors. However, there are too many to be mentioned here all (for it is best Melee Brawl & have in order to get an accurate picture).
Finally, a small comment to your last paragraph:
1. Varied Stages there are enough (when I just am not mistaken, there would be around 30, including stages from Melee and created platforms)
2. There is a proper Internet mode. Just the bit jerky - as you mentioned already - what a can be quite annoying after a while.
3. I've ever written, there are a bunch of new characters and there were merely omitted four characters from Melee, one of which was simply an externally modified version of Mario (Dr. Mario) and two others by Ike & Toon Link - almost the same attacks can - have been replaced (Roy & Young Link). Only Mewtwo and Pichu are completely absent.
For me, Super Smash Bros. Brawl is therefore clearly a great game that I I've bought since then (the release), everyday games and it've never looked back. And it's not just a party game: it's fun to play it both with several, as well as alone.
I hope I could help you a little;)
