This album is the hit of Blur par for me. Especially the Dandy-Britpop context somewhat more broken. Sounds fresh like never before. Each song is a hit. Variety can hardly be surpassed. Lo-fi ballads, cool retro pieces, diverse sing along choruses, unconventional experiments here and there is also losgerockt times properly. Since everything is as it should be. One notices the album a certain transitional status, especially from today's perspective, if you look at the two still more experimental successor "13" and "think tank". But perhaps makes this indecision this album so appealing. Should have. Oh, must have one!
