Combination HTC One + QX10

I recently had the Galaxy S4 and the HTC One simultaneously. As the QX modules were presented at the IFA, I have decided to keep the one and buy the QX10 as an accessory. For everyday camera for snapshots of the One is enough. Then the QX10 should serve for one or the other something more sophisticated image. So much for the plan ...

QX10 in White ordered ... get ... had ausgepackt..Angst! The HTC One is behind the lens rounded but flat ... not scratched the my smartphone. Fortunately, the "retaining clips" rubberized and you can attach the lens so that you are not resting at 100%. All clear!

The pictures of the QX10 are good. No Question. But up close they have relatively strong noise. (Under normal conditions) There are less noisy as images from the S4. When it comes to depth of field and image quality at night, the QX10 is superior to smartphones. The optical zoom has indeed no real competition between iOS and Android.

The operation makes the whole thing a bit maggoty. The app does not always stable and the connection between your phone and camera lens is not always strong enough to ensure a smooth viewing. It bothers easy, but if I have a good camera for at least 10-15 seconds need to start the app and turn the lens. Then the recording of each image still takes some time. Aims to provide the spontaneity that Sony is actually not really available.

All in all, I like the idea. But there is still need for revision of both hardware and software at. Until then, I recommend rather a Point & Shoot to buy for this money. Indeed, contrary to the QX10 has only the value that you the images (not the video) on the smartphone has just (in 2MP or full resolution) to the snapshots to share all kinds of platforms. I have the patience yet and if not, my Smarthone still a built-in camera.

The price is often criticized. The QX10 is what innovative and new. If Sony continues to work on the concept of the price is certainly lower by also addressing the masses. But at the moment it is set for real enthusiastic appropriate case for the mass still too expensive.
