It is of course a taste and application whether you prefer to use a strap, a wrist strap or a wrist strap (or nothing about it).
I find wrist loops better than hand loops because they allow me more freedom of movement for my hand and offer at least as much security against accidental dropping. What they do not offer is the support function to keep the camera a hand strap.
I am not a fan of risers, because the cameras schlackern me for my taste always something around too much and this long belt simply gets on my nerves. Depending on the weight of the camera, you can take the wrist strap, let the camera simply dangle on your wrist. Possibly an acceptable alternative to using a carrying strap. But everyone must try for yourself.
In any case, the JJC ST-1 is of good quality. The stopper prevents successful that opens the loop and so the fit on the wrist is lost. Also on the buckle can rely. The materials and the processing please me very well.
The buckle is the feature that makes the wrist strap so convenient. Thus, looking at the camera extremely fast out of hand without giving ever having to toil through the loop. A one-handed open the buckle (by hand, to hanging the camera) prepares (me) no problems.
The flexible neoprene is also pleasantly soft on the skin and stretches to the weight of the camera, so that the loop does not "cut" into the wrist.
Of course you sweat relatively quickly under the neoprene, but when it comes to smell it is not yet negatively noticed.
The JJC ST-1 also allows for use of the camera with battery grip (ie a gripping handle on the edgewise), at least in my camera (Canon EOS 600D).
Ultimately, is perhaps also be noted that you should definitely compare prices, as this partly already varies widely.
