The Device:
The heart rate monitor PC 25 10, consists of a chest strap, which, from a chest circumference of about 70-75 cm, to about 130cm is suitable and the watch that fits with a wrist circumference of 12cm to 21cm. Both devices are battery-operated and can be switched off completely, which is very handy if you only want to use for training the clock.
The manual:
The manual is easy to understand. Only the setting of the "individual training zone" is so far poorly explained, as we are not told whether to enter the absolute heart rate values or percentages of maximum heart rate here.
Through trial and error, I found out that it is the absolute values.
The accompanying Quick Start Guide, however, is not particularly clear and catchy.
The Workout:
To find out in which area of the pulse should be in training, you must first determine his maximum heart rate. To this end, the manual provides a simple formula. Now you can choose between 2 preset programs ("Fat Burning" and "fitness") choose. These are based in each case on a certain percentage of the maximum heart rate entered. In addition, you can specify a specific value range in which you want to train, eg 120/175 through an "individual zone".
Upon entering this training zone the clock beeps 2 times long, the top outlet 5 times briefly and when leaving Down 3 times briefly. It is positive that it beeps repeatedly if you continued to train outside the zone, since it may well happen that you not heard the first beep. In rare cases, the clock beeps without a leaving or entering
the zone is preceded.
This happens especially if you train at the edge of the zone. Obviously here the display is somewhat less accurate than the actual measurement, which is of course crucial for the tone.
Training on land:
The sensor reacts badly when the contact surface is completely dry, ie mostly at the beginning of the training. But the chest is tight and does not slip even after prolonged running, etc..
Training on the bike:
For training on the bike, a mount for the watch is included, which can be attached to the handlebar. However, there are transmission problems, when the clock is more than 70cm away from the strap.
Training in the water:
In water transmission works best, and the beeps you hear problems. However, you can see the clock while in the wet, but do not operate under water.
Training Evaluation:
At the end of each workout is automatically displayed the training analysis, which is also stored automatically. It contains information on the training duration, the average and maximum heart rate of training, calorie consumption and the percentage of the time, was trained in the training zone. This facilitates training documentation considerably.
Conclusion:
On the whole, we can be very satisfied with this clock. It is robust, not overly difficult and easy to use. For extremely thin people or children it is not recommended, however, because of Brustgurtweite.
