I own more than a year, the Nikon P520 now and have made some thousand photos with it. Alternating on my trip I also use a Pentax K 5 II. With menus and all sorts of camera settings I am very familiar. Even a Bridgkamera as the 520 kan conjure remarkable pictures with the correct settings. It surprises me again and again as critics of this camera into a two days or less, kommem a verdict, which they then deem valid. (Camera defects excepted) One should not take all too seriously, if you want to opt for this camera this short owner. Basically you should ask yourself, will you want to make a clippers or "images". If you want to take good pictures, which you can still find good, even after repeated watch, then there is in my opinion not matter in which fraction of a second the camera focuses.
