Compact, apparently very power-saving device

Unfortunately, I could find no information on the energy consumption of ES1100-16 ahead of Kufs. I had therefore to that of 1GB / s device (GS1100-16) oriented, which allegedly max. 6 watts consumed. That it seems more clearly to be lower, because my energy meter also showed after 2 weeks operation no change in the second decimal place (the kWh number), that is, the power consumption is below the measurement threshold of my instrument.

This impression confirmed also by the fact that the device is completely cold, although we always div. Stuff on top of it is (documentary, patch cables, ...).

As for his "real" job, the switches in our house network, is concerned, I have not noticed any restrictions. I'll be in file transfers in the house is very close to 100 MBit / s zoom - here therefore also seems to be everything well.

In addition, the device is extremely compact (it is the smallest 16-port switch at all, I've found), so he with us easily take the place of the old (only slightly smaller 8-port switches) on a narrow shelf in the basement fits.
