Benefits bags under-empty: Saves space, sheltered animals.
Disadvantage: Brittle and fragile, difficult to squeeze and store.
The quality of plastics two brands worth more or less, their aspiration systems except Compactor to a more practical valve.
DIBAG promises a gain of 75% space but it seems illusory. For blowing objects, it works quite well (pillows, duvets), for clothes, one is of the order of 30%. Count as gain an average of 50% of the volume. The problem comes from the difficulty to cram them because they are quite fragile. The bags have formats not easy to squeeze in a cabinet: 1M on 80cm. Opt for 86x50cm to store them in a cupboard.
At the size of bags, Compactor is better because it is easier to empacter: a cushion made of 50x50 or 60x60 cm, their bags are 55cm while DIBAG 50cm (5 cm is already lost due to the slide so that it remains 45 cm drag objects).
The worst part about it is that the packets deflate, whatever the brand. Compactor deflates 5% after 24 hours while DIBAG 5-15%. Indeed, a packet on two deflate 15%. Compactor is 2x more expensive than DIBAG.
CONCLUSION
----------------------------------
The vacuum bags still have some way to go before they are actually sealed. The space saving is not as impressive as the pictures unless you have bags of all sizes as they are generally available in larger sizes.
Compactor is in every way better than DIBAG do deflates than 5% (which is acceptable). DIBAG is half the price and available in several different formats but on two deflates 15%.
