Leatherman:
+ Length of the blade and the saw caliper sluggish
+ Sharpness of the knife and the saw -edges not as beautiful as though by Gerber
+ Interchangeable bits -High Price
+ Precision screwdrivers
+ Very good scissors
+ Good mechanism that locks the tools
Gerber:
+ Conveniently -Knifes and saw small, especially when sawing a problem
+ Spring mechanism of the pliers -relative to Leatherman duller blades
Etc. extract + nicely rounded edges -I think screwdriver, scissors a bit fiddly
+ All tools reachable from the outside
Conclusion:
Who the price of a Leatherman is too high, gets an excellent multitool with the Gerber. This is clearly better than the Leatherman with respect to the pliers. For all other tools are better at this. So if you used the knife rather than the forceps should not pick up the Gerber. In general, I am a little disappointed by the blades of the Gerber Suspension, about two star deduction. A star makes great pliers up for it.
