Compared with Ascend P1 and Optimus 4x

I'll try my few experiences with the Xperia S to describe - even compared to the Huawei Ascend P1 and LG Optimus 4X HD, which I could also test.
Maybe the comparison to others is just as interesting. For me, the Xperia has the most benefits. Below I go a only on the most important points to me.

Display:
The display of the Xperia S has a very high resolution, which results in a high pixel density (even slightly denser than the Iphone four) and one thus gets by Lupe in vain to look for pixels - detta also the eye. Color and black and white levels are very good for an LCD screen. Colors look tired, black looks almost like in AMOLED and white is white. The Huawei so has an AMOLED display. In direct comparison, it shows directly the resolution and color effects. Black is really black, but white seems (at least to half brightness level) not as white but "dark white". The eye used to it, but oh well. One sees pixels, definitely. Especially in a direct comparison with the Xperia S. For example, the icon of the Chrome browser is the Ascend P1 is not perfectly round, one sees podium. Also at another viewing distance it falls on something. When this icon Xperia S is perfectly round. It was just an example and can be applied to other things such as the font in the browser derive. Yes, reading makes the Xperia S thanks to the screen more fun. The display of the LG has the same resolution with a slightly larger screen (4.7 "). However, I liked the colors and black levels of the Xperia S" a tick "better.

Camera:

Internet:
No matter what browser you use, whether Chrome or Android hrs browser, the pages load fast. Faster than the Optimus 4x I unfortunately realized. It runs very smoothly overall everything on the web and also, thanks to the displays, dissolved beautifully. The Ascend P1 also has very good surfing properties, but has a lower resolution, so you have to zoom frequently. In addition, you can see pixels especially (see above).

Music:
Speaker sound has never been overwhelming in such small devices. I can only say that he has made the best "figure" the Xperia S. Sony can produce very good sound reproduction in addition to very good cameras / sensors evenly also. Especially with headphones offers the Xperia S, also thanks to the successful settings, fat bass / clear highs / the better sound experience.

Battery:
Well, what do you expect from the battery in a smartphone already today? For me, I had to figure out: He should keep a day, regardless of the use. This is the case with the Xperia S. I still have not managed very leerzusaugen before I dropped him with my usage behavior to bed. However, since I have the device only for a week, this can change yet. To mention is that the battery, no matter which device should, only a few charging cycles behind them to be objectively assessed. Two days are beatable with the Xperia with use.
The development of batteries is lagging behind the development of smart phones - my opinion. Increasingly powerful computing features / components - and on battery power less emphasis. The Razr MAXX should serve as a model. Since you get the battery that is almost not dead in a day.

Weak points:
What does that actually the "battery cover"? The term is in quotes because it is not at all is a battery cover, but a Simkartendeckel. Bullshit what Sony has built there. A giant plastic back, which is detachable to switch the SIM card. Better would be a "unibody" -like style, where you can shove the simcard anywhere on the page or if already one battery cover, then with welchselbarem battery - but not this Frankenstein solution. In addition, the lid is relatively easy, if not easy to remove. A slight wiping up and down it is. Whether that after months of use so still sits as it should be able to portray with longer experience maybe other users.
About the Sensor Bar is debatable. You get used to it certainly - I love it from almost nothing that one about "stress" has, instead of typing. Here I like the sensor strips of counterparty better.
The plexiglass LED strip - frills. What does it matter? It lights up. The actual sensors are about the black part of the display housing. Better would be the solution here as the Xperia P, where the sensors actually lie on the LED strip.
Voice quality - it comes. On my machine I have a noise. Sometimes more, sometimes less bother, but as I call anyway little that is to get over for me.
Every now and then it jerky already on the menu when painting. I have to say that I use the Apex Launcher, because I do not believe in the implemented of Sony Android design.

Conclusion:
For me, one of the few smartphones on the market, which has a coherent P / L ratio. Camera, display, sound, Web are all pluses, which predominate.
Would have been solved differently some design properties, this would be the top product on the market for me. But it remains a really good smartphone with some quirks.
The question for me is: Keep waiting or on the Sony Xperia "Hayabusa" aka Xperia GX aka Xperia TX? Or maybe a Huawei? Huawei has me extremely surprised, apart from the camera quality and other little things, but that's another story ...
