My Samsung SSD830 was full and I needed a bigger new SSD. My choice fell on the Crucial M500. This is not bad. However, in me a lot of configuration work was required to achieve the specified values and the expected speed. Specially the 4K read and write access are very important for the speed and they are with me on the notebook with Intel chipset and after extensive modification of the Registry and the energy saving settings still not reached 100 percent (tested with AS SSD). Previously I had a Samsung SSD830 that reached the specified values in comparison, without that I had to play around in the system. The speed is appreciably affected. The Crucial always needs 2-3 Memorial seconds more than the old Samsung. Crucial also provides no tool that automates making the right system settings. I like that better with Samsung with the SSDMagician. That's why I'm going to change on SSD840 of them.
