With a network to 200mbps with 4 TL-PA211 and 2 cpl box (free) in a house I wanted to do an extension with 500Mbps boxes. - 1st fault (already seen previously purchased in 2015) the dimensional characteristics of the plug are some limitations and you really have to force to connect on areas taken a few years older (not dozens ...) - The second big problem: can not add a module to the PAIR button on an existing network by resetting even for 10 seconds and repeating the pairing procedure. If you have a Mac (without windows emulator) he better not reset these modules with the button, let the windows and suddenly software modules will run correctly without matching !!!! I would not say much about the flows that depend on the electrical system but the gain is significant with the 500. On the second point I will try to have information with the technical service of TP-Link.
Edit of 11/02/2015: After research on the TP-Link website there is a Mac version of the visualization software and upgrade of Cpl boxes (good news), one must delve into the downloads ... it's a bit of a mess and not very clear, I expect the responses of the technical service.
Edit the 23/003/2015 The response of the technical service does not solve the compatibility problem (boxes firmware update) between boxes 211 and Freeplug but the network is working properly. With dual RJ models I have a problem with "wake-up" (awakening) with a Denon amp (connected only for a test) that can not find its IP DHCP freeplayer on the same box strength wake-up properly and everything is in order, the problem apparently comes from the amp ... Note: seen some reviews moaning against the flow of RJ must be ordered to 1GB models, standard models are 100MB.
