With a project to mount the Elektor DSP-based ADAU 1701 (January 2014) in order to subject the sound a harmonic treatment I turned to this book on the basis of its contents quite "attractive" . Once received, I began to browse the book. The good impression is that the author deals with me. I found a very detailed work. with a comparison between analog and digital and therefore provide relevant information. It is enough documented. We're about to learn some things. The bad news is that there is a poor balance between a book that "introduces" the subject of the DSP for a discovery .. and work on a programmable DSP command line ... so in my case, there is a kind of blockage. I wish I found more information on passing by software that operates in block mode in order to facilitate its programming.
So I recommend the book if you want to discover the world of DSP. The author knows his subject and is well documented. You just ignore the defined DSP. And use this book as a complete introduction. It is expected that the author or a book Elektor so a little more in line with its plate. They know well sell the kit to 75, ca should not be too complicated to find an author for a book.
