Long story short: as a luxury I can not see the water filters even at, but as a necessary evil.
I found so far filter pitchers (especially from competitors BRITA) very practical and had until recently the model Marella Cool in use. Typically these scripts should be used MAXTRA, but since WMF indicates that these Dara filters fit into the MAXTRA system, I wanted to know the time.

+++++ Moreover the water runs like clockwork through the filter. A little faster than I from the original and from the slightly cheaper ClaroSwiss (which is yet another manufacturer).
+/- Filter change: When I see a bit exhausting changing, bwz. the removal of the used filter because it is very well pressed into the pot, he can of course only with some force and refer to this is a fairly smooth, slightly grippy tab available.
++++ Taste: About selfsame can certainly argue, but as far as I can say, the water tastes really pleasant, as if it comes directly from the line. But what really "nice" is of course the tea. There is no fog settles, it hardly changes its color ugly.
+++++ Water for cooking, I filter now also. Recommended especially for vegetables (carrots, beans, broccoli), or clear soups. I can say only purely subjective that gedünsete vegetable tastes delicious, and for example, when cooking carrots is not so a gray foam around the edge from here.
+ Magnesium?
What I can say this, is rather meager and far from scientific confirmation: The water is soft, I once drank long as only one day this water and realize that it perhaps seems a little diuretic, but all I can say. (In our drinking water comes virtually no magnesium before, so I see it quite as useful to when this cartridge enriches the water with Mg. Whether it would be necessary, I can not say ...
I want to consciously make any evaluation, because the water filters through the price / performance ratio - as mentioned above - should be up to each person. For example I have a colleague who lives further just 10 kilometers, in the Westerwald region, has soft water and laughs at me when I tell him what Sperenzchen I suppose so, and what additional costs I so doing to me, to the water for human consumption to get, or to protect equipment. Basically here means that prices are subject to change at any time.
Factual to the cost: The WMF water filter beat atuell with about 5 / month a little more to book than other well-known competitors. However, there are also cheaper competitors, which are on average 3 euros. The only as guidelines.
Conclusion: I am thrilled to find that magnesium-enriched water (after I tried it now a 3-month) really tasty --- and am completely satisfied with these filters.
