Despite the se simple reason for action (boy looking father in Tokyo) is a pretty wild story ... many changes between the present and dreams, memories, fantasies. I have the book can not read fast - it's challenging and I needed time to fully absorb the various storylines - but found it captivating. Many reviewers emphasize the parallels to Murakami - I can see that even, but while Murakami's books einsogen me, but in the end usually left a stale, empty feeling, has Number8Dream touches me otherwise. It seems to me psychologically truthful than Murakami's stories, somehow warmer, more human. Recommended!
