Supply side you can opt for The power supply transformer (supplied) or via the RJ45 cable and Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology which uses Ethernet cables to power the access point. This is a proven technology that can be found in equipment such as phones and IP cameras ...
The power supply for PoE to a significant cost, it requires the use of dedicated hardware as a switch or injector compatible with this standard (to be placed between your box and devices to connect). PoE technology is very interesting for its flexibility dintegration, it allows to place in strategic locations such as an access point LAPN600 (compatible at 802.3) downside is the cost of additional equipment, a model output RJ45 as TP-Link TL-POE150S costs a score of euros and should be selected taking into account the power of the device to be connected or it will not function properly.
Radio side we find a product Dual Band MIMO-compatible 2.4 and 5 GHz with a maximum speed increased to 600 Mbps (2x300Mbps) under optimum conditions.
You can familiarize yourself with the interface on this link: ui.linksys.com/files/LAPN600/V1.0.11.000/Menu_Status.htm
It includes lintégralité of product features (very full), of course, you will need to first use to change the password for the device to laccès (via web interface) to protect its access.
The safety and functionality are complete: access control, MAC filtering, encryption WPA, WPA2, 802.1X with RADIUS support, IPv6, multiple SSID.
Installation side the product is really designed to be placed or nimporte: ceiling tile, wall, table kit comes standard, the device is rather large (wide) end but the design is very successful in my direction.
To: quality, compatibility PoE, advanced filtering, multiple SSID, radio and throughput coverage, lifetime warranty.
Against: English manual
Conclusion: really happened access to the professional world but can be widely used in home dun to increase the range of wireless and switch to the standard "N", PoE as well as embedded Dual Band are really more of the product, design is successful and the full kit. This is in my opinion an excellent and comprehensive access point over a lifetime warranty.
