Fifth Alexis HK CD (and 3rd studio album out under a label), "Goodfellas" confirms the talent revealed by Belleville - new edition (includes 3 bonus tracks + 1 clip) and surtoutL Man of the Moment. The only difference is that this time, the whole album is successful, and even having enjoyed two previous games, no one could expect a record of such quality. The texts are treated, in turn funny and touching turn, marrying several registers and themes, including political fable (Chicken Manager), with a second degree revealing more depth than leaves suppose the first listen. Curiously, it is probably with this disc Alexis HK closest Brassens, although the latter are ever mentioned or directly imitated. The melodies are pleasant, sometimes with such breaks in the same piece, and arrangements tend to simplicity, both efficient and discreet. Finally, another facet of the originality of Alexis HK, and not least, is expressed by his voice (with emphasis) and flow (sometimes close to rap) that give the impression that only he can interpret its securities (the duet with Renan Luce is also probably the least representative of the album). In summary, a very good album, with a more than reasonable price.
