Please forgive me that this has become my CD of the week. Brian Wilson album brings nothing new, certainly not innovative. (That was in the 60's different. The only ones faced by the Beatles made a genuflection, were the Beach Boys and just before their Mastermind.) The new has simply become a wonderful, beautiful, well-produced CD ... (and accurately the right Exclusive for the spring / early summer!) top class harmony vocals goes without saying. But the song ideas per se are exceptional and the band plays wonderfully relaxed. In addition, there's variety by top form guest musicians. Touching's, when original member Al Jardine is one of the party. Inevitably one thinks of this already deceased: Carl and Dennis, both brothers of Brian ... especially when Wilson in "One Kind of Love" one of his masterpieces of the past cited "God only knows", one of the best pop songs of all time. The one or the other piece on the CD might seem a bit flat therefore come ("Runaway Dancer"), what the heck. On the whole, the album is a great success in my opinion. Wilson's voice is still great and distinctively dynamic and authentic. Its existing melancholic tone is no accident, for everything he has experienced as a genius and gone through. The greater my respect - and he shows us as what constitutes life. The beginning of the CD: "Life goes on and on, like a favorite song, What We Feel inside on this wayward ride If We could find a way, if you would only stay, if We could hold onto this feeling and this beautiful day. . " And at the end of the album:... "Hold on tight and everything will be alright I've never felt this way before Do not let go, there's quiet time for us, so let's take it slow I wish That I could give you so much more. Far away maybe we'll be coming back someday. Together in the end to sing with you again. Do not be sad, there was a time and place for what we had. If there was just another chance for me to sing to you ... There's never enough time for the ones you love. "
