Although there are now available from Nikon and other newer Pixelmonster, the D7000 my opinion still has a very good price-performance ratio. The sensor of the D5300 may even be a bit better, but the D7000 offers more direct keys and an extra wheel for the most common settings, which enables faster performance without first pull themselves laboriously through menus. And if one of correspondingly high-quality lenses does not neatly money in hand, the D7000 offers enhanced picture quality, as can be ausreizen with standard kit lenses. The noise performance is good (for APS-C), the dynamic range is great. Toll is also the long battery life of the D7000.
Because now the successor D7100 is on the market, the D7000 is often offered for significantly less money. I can only recommend buying.
