I must honestly say that I am not a big fan of Pink. The solo songs of former Alexisonfire singer Dallas Green on the other hand I have been following since its inception as a solo musician. As much as I miss his original post-hardcore sounds, so I am also impressed with his style, which he does with City & Colour so. Especially with Sometimes he has created a great, melancholy work. For me personally, it has long been considered one of the most underrated composers of our time. Not only the music feels blissfully quiet and familiar and can be a dream a little, and the lyrics are incredibly well written. Hardly a musician so written poetic lyrics, which act in a credible and genuine. And what can you tell about this large constellation with Pink. It is basically of the same, that you otherwise expect more from Dallas. You can clearly see who gave here the musical influence. It works very harmoniously with the two. Dallas is an exceptional talent and with Pink, he has sought a suitable partner that harmonises perfectly with his voice. Beautiful compilation. I as a fan of City & Colour hope now that Dallas Green also slow times gets its deserved attention in Germany through this collaboration and can recommend each album only warmest, the time away from typical mainstream sounds a shallow composition without much fuss or electric Bum- wants to hear sounds Bum.
PS Small Anspieltipps still based on City & Colour of me: "Happiness by the Kilowats" and "Coming Home".
