But first to the story:
Mickey is pulled by a black creature in the Wasteland, which is a creation of the magician Yen Sid (read the name again, backwards;)) is. The Waste Land is home to all Disney characters, which have been forgotten over time, for example, the mouse Oswald, which was replaced by Micky quasi.
Micky had accidentally spilled a lot thinner and paint on the world. The consequences of which he was unaware, and it just gets to be felt until much later, when he is drawn into the world by a phantom.
The story itself begins gently, but is still pretty grim and interesting.
The world:
The world could have come from Tim Burton himself. Dark, bizarre, scary but also fascinating and very beautiful to look at. Ajar's all great attractions of the Disneyland. The world consists of Pappaufstellern, repeatedly find rides or have to use such partly.
Between the individual sections of the world you find yourself repeatedly in some side-scrolling elements. Do you remember, for example, even to Micky and Bonenstange? Or the very first black and white clip with Black Pete on the boat? These are all this sidescrolling elements. This works well, it's fun and has, especially when one knows by known a really good feeling these clips from his childhood.
Graphics:
It was announced the best thing you've seen on the Wii so far.
That is not entirely true. In my opinion, the two Super Mario Galaxy on the Wii games are still the measure of all things.
Nevertheless Epic Mickey looks damn good! Micky itself has a terrific model. He just looks wonderful. The environment itself is not quite as good as the model over Mickey. But that criticism on very, very high level. Although the overall package does not look as good as the two Mario Galaxy games, but may be loose and classify under the graphic highlights the Wii and needs also to hide from anyone. Of course you can say that the whole thing does not look back Photo Realistic, how is that possible on the PS3. But that should also not be the case. We have here a stylistic graphics, such as in World of Warcraft as well. It is anything but realistic photo but the overall package looks damn good!
Gameplay:
Epic Mickey is a mixture of Jump n Run and Adventure. The whole thing fits. But the special is Mickey's paintbrush. You can use thinner or paint. The former can vanish certain items appear zweiteres. Thus arise for some tasks multiple solutions. But how much you use of both shows impact.
Also, there are always different missions, which bring something. You can save eg Gremlins, which can help one in any way, or solve an additional object to getting anywhere and the like faster.
Also you can just explore the world. You can for example try by thinner or color, depending on the situation, to find hidden passages that shorten or hide items include.
Others:
Epic Mickey has a little problem: The camera work. It's not that it's tragic, but you could have made it much more pleasant.
Otherwise you would have been able to make more significant impact on the world, depending for or against you decide.
On a positive note, however, that by all what is possible, what you can do, what you can decide, also a second or third pass is fun.
Also, we should mention that this game is suitable for both children and adults. The story is interesting, the gameplay grim but handled just right, that it is interesting for both and anywhere there is something missing. Adults have even in many environments and scenarios plenty of space for possible interpretations.
Conclusion: Very, very big game. I played some Wii games. Super Mario Galaxy 1/2 and smash bros. Brawl share space 1. Epic Mickey has managed to land it in 2nd place. Would your little problems to be eradicated, it deserved the first place. Nevertheless, there are 5 star, because in spite of the small problems 4 are in my opinion not enough. 4 1/2 would meet.
