I have looked on 10/11. as some of these monitor brought on offer. Now I know why.
First. I do not understand how such great reviews for this device come about. But I think it's because most reviewers probably have no comparison.
At home there are two Samsung Syncmaster B2430H. (Also a 150 expensive 24-inch model)
This S24B150BL here I wanted to exchange them for one of the two older models. They are operated next to each other in the dual view and thus offer optimum comparison:
What already noticed when booting the computer: The S24B150BL is where should be black, just gray. Way too much gamma background which you unfortunately get away with no adjustment. The direct comparison showed that especially color resolution and contrast were significantly worse.
However, the final decision to send the unit back brought the viewing angle stability. Increases or decreases to the head just a few centimeters, already changing contrasts and colors. It is worse than on notebook screens 90. It strikes me as totally unacceptable Miserables Panel, which operates in this monitor.
Co of fast:
- Black is gray and the really hard
- Contrast is felt much less than indicated
- Viewing angles tends to the 0-point.
Those like me who has an old Syncmaster and thinks, so you can not go wrong. rather stay away. In the 150 price range, there is actually much better equipment. Too bad. I just hope this is a one-time mistake from Samsung.
PS: I have uploaded two comparison image. the pictures, the image is optimized on both monitors. Better you can not manage it, unfortunately. I think the comparison says a lot. Because both monitors are from the same manufacturer Samsung and in the same price class (about 150)
