While the controls are laterally behind with most photo frames, all controls, network connection and slots for USB flash drive and SD card integrates the Picture Line 9300 in the fixed mounted foot.
The operation by switching on the device is simple and intuitive.
Initial Settings are straight forward and self-explanatory menus.
The remote control is a little small and fiddly and limited their range, but otherwise functions properly.
Reading the image data from the SD card or USB flash drive works quickly, and the image orientation of the provided images is detected easily.
Slide shows work at first. The animations when blending are liquid and smoothly. If desired, the slide show can be accompanied with music (eg MP3 files).
However, the quality of the speakers can still much to be desired due to their tiny size and left should be understood only as a last resort.
In addition to viewing of photos and video playback is possible. However, the device does not play long ago from all video formats and resolutions.
So far so good.
So why only a 3 star rating?
The major shortcoming when Pictureline 9300 is the extremely limited viewing angle for best picture quality.
Unfortunately, at the resolution and sharpness also absolutely nothing to complain about, it must be criticized that optimal image quality is guaranteed only with accurate position before the device. Even slight changes in the viewing angle to the left or right lets the luminosity and presence of images dramatically after, and from an acute viewing angle can be seen virtually nothing of the image displayed.
There are of my 2 star deduction.
CONCLUSION:
The Rollei Pictureline 9300 is a very noble digital picture frame which is easy to operate and can play both pictures, videos, and audio files.
Unfortunately, the viewing angle for perfect viewing pleasure is extremely low, which is unacceptable for a picture frame in my opinion, and should result in point deduction.
