The Philips LEDs are only slightly darker and a little cooler. I should almost say that to me the color temperature of the LEDs like better. The color rendering index is specified with only 80 as of an ESL. For my eyes he is much better. The illuminated colors look pleasant, but not quite the quality of halogen.

What is missing? A little look and feel.
Halogen radiate a little to the rear, which gives beautiful patterns on the ceiling. Unfortunately that is not the case with LED. In addition, the white LED housing used to see out in nickel matt or brass-colored lights.

For reliability I can not say anything yet, let's hope that they at least live as long, then it is worthwhile.
