Sleepwalker (Audio CD)

Customer Review

The musical style of The Anix can (with respect. The melody) probably about as a somewhat gloomy mix of Thirty Seconds to Mars with a bit of Coldplay describe, while the singer sounds a bit like Bob Swire of Pendulum (I hope, I will contact comparing anyone on the toes). Sleepwalker is the fourth release of the tape, which is similar to the first two (An Illusion of Time and Play Dance Repeat) strongly in its tracklist, and learn about the background, unfortunately, I do not know. I had something belongs in Demolition City and really did not want the music light with me. But the latest work seems to be something like the final style discovery, especially as tracks were neueigespielt from the previous album.

I must say that Sleepwalker has really blown away and I honestly can not understand it, that this band is still so unknown. Of course there are variations in quality on the album, as far as the songwriting, but it is not a song exists, I would really call failure. Also interesting that one or the other song really surround sound (or at least good headphones) is needed to develop properly. Of course, everything sounds better than a good investment, but especially with this album special swabs were recorded when you hear it with inferior headphones on his mp3 player.

One of these songs is the opener Enemys Eyes, a dark but catchy rock number that begins relatively quickly and breaks down the pace in the melancholy refrain. The chorus seems somehow to empty, the sound system is not sufficient. It continues with the very good danceable Warning Signs, the beautiful starts with strings and as something positive emerges from the mood here, top song. Cry Little Sister, a cover version of The Lost Boys Theme songs, then moves slightly harder guitar gun, but always stays melodic and danceable, and can only be described as really successful cover. Take My Future can be described as one of the weakest songs on the album, the melody of the refrain just will not ignite properly so. One is compensated however by then the absolutely brilliant title track, a gorgeous dreamy sad song that represents the highlight of the album for me and the chorus you can not get so quickly from the ear canals. At a high level we continue with Glass, which is again a bit harder down to business and inferior to its predecessor in almost nothing. One resident has failed relatively poppy. Nevertheless, it can be described as extremely successful and brings some variety with its rather merry dance beat into the album. Whether it is wise to call his song as one of the most famous songs of Linkin Park, was once an open question, but in the end leads the album continued good and something goes in the direction of Glass, although not quite so hard with respect. the guitar work. Endlessly is down again slowly and unfortunately falls in terms of quality from something. It's definitely not a bad song, but again can not really knock your socks off of a chorus. The pace of her more moderate songs Long Way Out and In the Dark are indeed no revelations, but quite solid, well audible songs. Finally comes with The Passenger, the main reason why I have raised the issue sound systems. While the song to bad headphones rather disappointed, as it develops in good speakers to correct atmospheric piece of music in which I get goose bumps again.

That was the main album, but as the bonus CD is not part of a Special Edition, but part of the normal releases, you can certainly expect to their strengths to album rating. The The Cure Cover Burn (possibly known from The Crow OST) It constitutes a further highlight of the release out and know just to convince the chorus even more than the original. The remixes are overall really just a nice little bonus. But These of Tommie Sunshine Remix of Glass, which transforms the song into an electronic dance number and gives it a very different effect, the Powerman 5000 remix of enemys Eyes, who makes the song a metal number, and probably many known Invader! Remix of Sleepwalker. The Invader! Remix is roughly an interesting alternative to the grandiose original anyway, just out of place acting Dubstep shredder parts would not necessarily have to be. The rest of the CD is nice but not necessarily Necessary accessories.

Conclusion:
Sleepwalker has become a consistently more than just convincing album, which has achieved a number of songs with catchy and really no correct failures. To exploit the full potential of the plate, but it should have recourse to good speakers / headphones. The bonus CD is worth listening test and it will be interesting, in what direction the band evolved and whether it still makes the breakthrough. She deserves it anyway.
