Cooking flower? What für'n thing?

Every time I've Cooked potatoes or pasta, I resented the effervescence of the cooking water. Lid on it - taking care that it does not boil over.
All the great advice like "wooden spoon under the lid" - "edge with butter grease" - "Special lid with steam hole" and so nothing has been good. By chance - in a conversation with my second cousin we got it - I most of this part of the recommendation. I was skeptical and have bought the cooking times on suspicion flower.

In normal household reaches the medium and / or small cooking flower from fully. My pots have a diameter of max. 24 cm, but the average size fits without too much trouble on my smaller pots.
