The follow-up album III sounds matured, if one may write the acting here at the long-serving and highly decorated rock stars ever. From a "fun project" I did not have so meaty political (eg THREE AND A HALF LETTERS) and socio-critical (eg DUBAI BLUES) texts expected. The super foil made and packaged CD (! With 3-D glasses) looks and sounds like a unified whole: ballads, mid-tempo numbers and groovy Hard Rock mingle nicely. Joe Satriani plays back song very useful and will flash in between by using virtuoso leads and open and extended chords. Innovation should from a combo that has committed itself to tougher retro rock, do not expect. Instead, you get a melodic and powerful piece of rock music, yet just outside the mainstream over.
