The brake is no rim, but a hub brake, which is also convenient, because thus are not exposed to some sensitive parts of this wheel. Only that the brake lever on the left side is, has a little bothered me. Because I think, even at a later bicycle brake lever is always on the rear wheel on the right, why then so have yet to get used? This phenomenon, there are also other wheels, as I have noticed, the reason is not obvious to me.
Can you dismount the brake not because there are no screws or other detachable parts, but with a little effort can be controlled the levers of the left handlebar pull or Rotate and slide to the right. This one should a tape - just as it is on the left side of it - wrap around the right handlebar, so that the lever is really tight. With some skill the work properly and so we now have the leverage as desired on the right side.
When braking I have the impression that the brake a little grinds, they therefore always exerts a certain pressure. Because if you drive the rear tire with his hand in the air, turns this not (almost) endlessly, as he did in a conventional bicycle, but stops after a few seconds. On the other hand I think it's not so bad, because it obviously does not disturb while driving and so you have at least some increased security. The braking effect is good in itself.
A special feature of this wheel: It can even austatten with pedals and thus has equal a first bike!
Could I first not imagine how this would work, but the trick is just that it is not running on a chain, but a roller which rests directly on the rear and it drives so. One can find these pedals also on Amazon under "JD Bug pedal box". We have not yet, but are expected to strike in the spring. Simple can be, I think, do not learn cycling, since it does not need any props.
